i’m having the hiccups

i feel like i have a couple of things that i’m keeping under control, but a bit up in the air at the same time right now.  and a few things that are slipping. 

one for instance is the workouts.  i’m hovering at 182lbs (yay), and getting in maybe two a week with no hockey lately (no games – i’d'a gone).  so, i’m not in full fledged reverse, but there’s no forward momentum either.  i pushed buy on P90 (the original – on ebay) for the kids.  if we’re all jumping around every day, i can see some SERIOUS forward momentum developing.

on the busyness front i’m getting more done than i used to, but it’s not nearly enough. 

POKER – i updated my HEM.  heh, now there’s squeeze stats (?), tourney stuff and a free omaha thingie.  sweet. 

i got in two vids since my last post – working on three.  one was a 3bet powerPoint on CR.  dry as toast.  there were some nuggets in there, but i felt like i should pinch myself just to keep my mind from wandering.

one was a $25NL leakfinder.  that wasn’t a complete waste.  at least now i know the things i know, but i don’t feel the need to do that again any time soon. 

i started the second of the two (so far) 3bet vids.  and of course there’s a 3bet vid series at DC.  so it’d almost be fun and informative if i compared the two.

as soon as i push publish i’ll get in a session tonight.  and yes, i’m setting the timer.  then i’m off to . . .

MUSIC – picked up three new discs.  i love it that the stuff i want is like $9.25 brand new, so for $30 i get three disks and change.  yay. 

morbid angel’s covenant – apparently a DM classic.  i’ll listen to it, wonder how long it’ll take for me to get that fast, then shelve it.

cynic – monstor chops, DeathMetal/jazz/who-knows style.  great for writing to because the lyrics/singing doesn’t get in the way, since there usually isn’t any. 

theory of a deadman – bar rock.  gotta have some.  it’s not brilliant, but it’s good bar rock.  sprinkle it in with some social distortion and you have a reason to do shots :)

the boy child must’ve talked the wife into buying him this refillable 52 oz thermos/travelMug.  good job son, daddy has a new beer mug.  yay.

now i’m off to get in an hour at the tables, then maybe another two on the kit.  it’s my friday night tonight :)

    I am sure you know them, but for like the past two years my favorite band has been Killswitch Engage. I just love how they can mix metal with melodies. And for exercising, few things beat Hatebreed to just get you going.

    As for poker, I would really focus on 50nl and 100nl videos if I were you. Not that you can’t learn anything from 25nl videos, but I personally prefer videos of the limit(s) I play and the next one up for great content pertaining to the games I play.
