just like waves

that’s what my graph looks like for the past week or so. it’s a genuine mix of run bad/play bad. it’s actually funny.

Q: ”why’d you do this?”

A: “because i could get it all in ahead 4:1″

Q: “ahh, sometimes the one hits. why’d you do that?”

A: “i seem to have lost that bout with stupidity”

i might not get any playing in today, but that’s ok. last night i go to bed around 20 of five, and i’d like to reign that back in about an hour or so before it really gets away from me.

DRUMS: pushed buy on some new (to me) pedals last night. found them on eBay and i could make myself part with the cash because it looked like the right situation. my old ones are . . . old. i’ve probably mentioned before that they’re the 1987 model, and now are put on ebay as prototype pedals for collectors. they aren’t even good enough to be listed as regular buy them and use them pedals.

i’m expecting a major upgrade experience. like when i went from my hand-me-down ’88 Cutlass Ciera with no heat/air/radio/you-name-it to my new car (with heat/air/radio/you-name-it).

and now that everyone’s out of the house during the day, i may just sneak them under my desk for a while – ’till the wife flips. i could get in sooo much extra time multi-tasking that way. or maybe i’m just pipe dreaming over coffee.

ok – one squaw story and then i’m off to face the day.
