i just needed a title. the hand was a no brainer. it also ran into JTs from the aggro shortStack, and AQo from the guy who was trying to claim the shortStack’s shove. of course, i disagreed and shoved my stack, and that’s the big hand of the night.
the summer gardening catalog showed up yesterday. i’d never been into gardening enough to care about a summer/fall planting, but, i do think it would be neat to have garlic and asparagus growing. and have a strawberry bed ready for use next summer, which means planting now.
it also strikes me that we now have no raspberries or blackberries on the new property, and no fruit trees. homemade apple pie when it’s made from apples that grow on your own tree is a wonderful thing. it’s stuff like that that makes the fall such an excellent season.
i might take a few days away from the tables to get some work sorted, and datamine in the meanwhile.
Dunno what your climate is like rains a bit here but strawberries are very delicate and take some looking after and apple trees have to be pruned in a certin way each year. But would be cool to be self sufficent for when the new world order kicks in

August 8th, 2008 at 8:00 amhey willie, thanks for stopping by. the wife has a degree in horticulture, so she’s been in charge of the plants and trees for a while. i’m just getting into it now, tbh. we recently moved here from about 4 miles away, and had both a set of apple trees and a strawberry patch at the old property.
i’m not sure anything will save me from the new world order, but i know they won’t tax my strawberry patch, lol.
